Explaining Cortaflex: a unique approach to joint support

Cortaflex – the alternative to glucosamine joint supplements

Cortaflex has been the tried and tested joint supplement for over 30 years, but why does it stand out from the crowd?

Cortaflex is unique in its approach to joint support: by providing the nutritional building blocks for the horse to make their own glycosaminoglycans which when combined with other key ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, collagen and vital trace minerals, makes it truly exceptional.

It all started with just one version of Cortaflex, with research being published back in 2002 showing the benefits of the Cortaflex joint supplement. Fast forward to 2024, and the Cortaflex range is more popular than ever, over 2 million units sold, with the range expanding to support all types of horses, from the retired companion, right through to the elite competition horse and everything in between.

Over the years Cortaflex has been updated to reflect the latest research, whilst remaining true to its philosophy of providing targeted nutrition to support joint comfort, health and mobility.

FAQs:

Why does Cortaflex often come lower down in a joint comparison table?

Many competitors are purely comparing glucosamine levels, so of course Cortaflex will look bad as it doesn’t contain glucosamine! This is deliberate, as we are using an alternative approach, by providing the nutritional building blocks for the horse to make their own glycosaminoglycans. If you specifically want a glucosamine-based product, take a look at Glucosamine HCl 12,000 or the Kentucky range.

When would you choose Cortaflex over a glucosamine product?

Cortaflex excels at supporting the soft tissues (tendons and ligaments), as well as the health of the cartilage. Collagen and Vitamin C are particularly important for this function.

Liquid or Powder?

Cortaflex is available as both liquid and powder options, depending on your horse’s preference! Both are extremely palatable, and easy to feed. Cortaflex Solutions contain exceedingly high levels of collagen, which will be of particular interest to those looking to support the tendons and ligaments.
